Paralympic gold medallist Linda Mastandrea was named as the chair of the IPC electoral commission for the votes, with fellow American Mike Peters and Canadian Paralympic Committee President Carla Qualtrough as members to ensure all candidates "adhere to the IPC Code of Conduct for Candidates to Governing Board Election".

Each nominee will now have the opportunity to present their candidature to the IPC members two days ahead of the elections in Athens.
