The free festival offers disabled people the opportunity to try a variety of sports while meeting athletes from the successful British Paralympics team that won 120 medals at London 2012, as well as providing information on how to get involved in sports.

The first ParalympicsGB Sports Fest, which was held at Surrey Sports Park last December, attracted more than 1,000 people participants.

"It has been so great to be here today to see so many people potentially start their sporting futures," said Paralympic T44 100 metres gold medallist and Sports Fest ambassador Jonnie Peacock following the Surrey event.

"I originally didn't want to try sport, I was worried I wouldn't be very good, but it's important to try things and that's what people are doing here today," he added.

"I would always encourage people to do sport, it's changed my life.

"Attending a day like today will always change your life, whether you find a sport that you can be a Paralympian in or whether you find a sport that you want to do at a level that suits you."
