Sochi 2014 Olympic Torch Relay Celebration CauldronJune 12 - Sochi 2014 has today revealed the Celebration Cauldron that will be lit at the end of each day during the Olympic Torch Relay - the longest in the history of the Winter Games - across Russia.

Unveiled as part of festivities in Red Square marking Russia Day, the Cauldrons, developed by a team of Russian designers and engineers, have been designed to mirror the style of the Torches, with ultra-glossy bright red and matte silver features, "ice" that sparkles in the sunlight and a warm, dark scarlet "flame".

The Celebration Cauldrons, which are 130 centimetres tall and 60cm wide with a 110cm wide base, will be installed in all of the cities hosting end of day celebrations along the route of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Torch Relay.

"The Celebration Cauldron of the Olympic Torch Relay is one of the main features of the Relay," Sochi 2014 President and chief executive Dmitry Chernyshenko said.

"Each region will have an opportunity to keep the Cauldron.

"The Cauldron will form a part of Games Legacy and will remind the people of each region of this historic event – the longest Torch Relay in the history of the Olympic Winter Games."
