Brazilian residents have until April 30 to request tickets in the first draw, the results of which will be announced in June.

Only those who entered the first draw will be able to apply in the second draw, which is due to open in July ahead of the results being announced in August.

The ATRs for non-residents were nominated by the National Olympic Committee of each country and approved by the International Olympic Committee.

It has previously been confirmed that Rio 2016 ticket-holders who resell tickets in contravention of terms and conditions face fines of 100 times the face value of each one sold.

"Each ATR will have its own sales process and fans should seek this information from the company that will sell tickets in their territory," said Rio 2016 ticketing director Donovan Ferreti.

"Any ATRs who are approved after March 31, will be added to the list subsequently."

There will also be first-come-first-served online sales phase for Brazilian residents in October, while both residents and non-residents will be able to purchase any remaining tickets at box offices in the host nation from June 2016.

In total, about 7.5 million tickets will be put on sale for Rio 2016, with more than half being priced at BRL R$70 (£15/$22/€20) or less.

The cheapest tickets will be BRL R$40 (£9/$12/€11.50), while the most expensive ticket for a sports event will be BRL R$1,200 (£251/$373/€347), and the most expensive Opening Ceremony ticket will be BRL R$4,600 (£962/$1,428/€1,331).
