Havas Sports  Entertainment has been appointed by Education First to handle ithe marketing and communications around its involvement with Rio 2016 ©Havas Sports & Entertainment An international education company which will help teach more than one million Brazilians a second language ahead of Rio 2016 has named the organisation that will handle the marketing and communications around its Olympic work.

Education First will teach volunteers, Organising Committee staff, contractors and 500,000 Brazilian schoolchildren.

The aim is to train more than one million people in a second language as part of the legacy of the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The company will also help recruit Games volunteers.

Today, Education First has announced it has appointed Havas Sports & Entertainment to manage the marketing strategy, sponsorship and communications around its partnership with Rio 2016 as Official Supplier of Language Training Services for the Games.

Havas Sports & Entertainment has most recently worked around the FIFA World Cup held earlier this year in Brazil with official sponsors, including Hyundai, Kia and Coca-Cola.
