Bosco launch_of_clothing_range_Moscow_14_March_2014_2March 14 - The Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic clothing, footwear and accessories collection has officially gone on sale, and will be available at the 64 Bosco shops around Russia, following a launch today at GUM on Red Square.

The collection includes a variety of spring and summer clothes and includes windbreakers, sweatshirts, tracksuits, polo shirts and accessories, all inspired by the Sochi 2014 official designs.

Bosco are already the kit supplier for the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Games volunteers during the 2011-2012 test event season.

Dmitry Chernyshenko, President and chief executive of Sochi 2014, said: "Russia's Olympic fans will certainly stand out, catching people's eye round the world with their bright, modern and unique sportswear.

"The official Sochi 2014 clothing range lets all Russians feel even more a part of the Olympics, and will provide a stunning visual backdrop."

Some of the money made from sales will go towards preparing and staging Russia's first ever Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Sochi in two years' time.

Those proceeds will also help to support the environmental and educational programmes related to the Games.

Sochi 2014 ambassadors such as Winter Olympic medal winning speed skater Ivan Skobrev, ice dancing Olympic champion Tatyana Navka, were present at the launch ceremony for the collection.

The clothing is part of the Sochi 2014 marketing programme, which has generated over $1.2 billion (£76 million/€92 million) so far, the most successful such scheme in Winter Olympic history.

"Four years of athletes' and fans' lives are concentrated in just two weeks of the Olympiad," Bosco Group head Mikhail Kusnirovich said.

"For some, the Olympics are all about reaching the peak of their sporting career; for others the focus can be on an incredibly emotional experience.

"It all becomes history very quickly, so people find different ways to capture the memories and pass them on, sometimes through words, sometimes through music.

"Another route is through Olympic memorabilia which can be kept for a lifetime:  T-shirts and caps, polo shirts, rucksacks, tracksuits and windbreakers are all ways of keeping one's memories alive."

Skobrev (pictured above centre), who took home a silver and bronze medal from Vancouver 2010, added: "Athletes without fire in their hearts will not win at the Olympic Games.

"The Sochi collection from Bosco catches that same passion, the sense of aiming to win."
