Rolex EquestrianDecemer 23 - Rolex has signed an agreement to become an official partner of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 in Normandy, continuing the Swiss watch maker's long involvement with the sport.


Rolex is based in Geneva, which is the venue of the sixth leg of the Rolex FEI World Cup Jumping for 2011/12, and has been involved in the sport since 1957.

They have also been involved with the World Equestrian Games since 2002, and were the sponsor for last year's event in Kentucky.

Ingmar de Vos, the secretary general of the International Equestrian Federation, said: "The FEI is delighted that Rolex, one of the world's best brands and a dedicated partner to equestrian sport, has renewed its cooperation with the FEI's flagship event, the FEI World Equestrian Games.

"Rolex's loyalty to our sport is exceptional and we are looking forward to the Games in Normandy, which are expected to stage absolutely top-class sport in an area renowned for its connection with the horse."

Fabien Grobon, the director general of the 2014 World Equestrian Games, added: "We are honoured to welcome Rolex as our partner.

"Rolex's support of the Games further reinforces the image of the Games as an event that brings together the world's best equestrian athletes whose commitment has taken them to the very top of the sport."

The World Equestrian Games are take place from August 24 to September 7, 2014, in Caen.
