March 6 - Canadian IT firm Scalar has been announced as an official supplier to Toronto 2015 ©ScalarCanadian IT solutions firm Scalar has been unveiled as the latest official supplier to the Toronto 2015 Pan American and Parapan American Games.

Scalar will provide IT solutions including security and storage services for the Games and will operate an onsite data centre controlling all IT provision for the event.

A specially designed storage solution will be designed, deployed and managed by a skilled technical team.

"Scalar is an innovative Canadian company with a growing reputation for leadership in their field," said Toronto 2015 chief executive Saäd Rafi.

"We're pleased to welcome them on board."

The firm was established in 2004 and has offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa and London and was recently named as one of the fastest growing companies in Canada.

It joins the likes of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), Cirque du Soleil, Chevrolet Canada and Loblaw Companies as official Toronto 2015 partners.

The Toronto 2015 Pan American Games are due to run from July 10 to 26 2015, and will be followed by the Parapan American Games from August 7 to 14.
