Mario Vázquez RañaApril 17 - Toronto 2015 are due to face their first inspection visit from the Pan American Sports Organisation (PASO) Coordination Commission this week as they step up plans to host the Pan and Parapan American Games.


The three-day Commission visit will begin tomorrow as they review and discuss plans for the Games.

The Commission is chaired by PASO first vice-president Ivar Sisniega of Mexico, while it also includes PASO secretary general Jimena Saldaña de Aja from Mexico, PASO Treasurer Danilo Carrera from Ecuador, and PASO delegates Wellington Miller from the Bahamas, Luis Mejia Oviedo from the Dominican Republic and Marcus Vinicius Freire from Brazil.

In addition, PASO President Mario Vázquez Raña (pictured top) will be in attendance to join the Commission to help inspect preparations.

During the three day visit, the PASO Coordination Commission will take part in a variety of key activities.

Their first key visit will be a tour of the CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Athletes' Village with Michael Chan, the Ontario Minister Responsible for the 2015 Pan and Parapan American Games.

They will also visit Toronto City Hall, where they will be hosted by the City of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford.

Raña will also meet with the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) President Marcel Aubut and the Board during the visit.
