After 10 years of coverage, from the bid to the vote and the subsequent 8 years of preparation, today we finally see the Opening Ceremony of the TOKYO 2020 Olympic Games, and we will be bringing you every second of it on our LIVE BLOG.

Editor-in-chief Duncan Mackay leads our 7-strong team in Tokyo bringing you all the action, as-it-happens, directly from the Main Press Centre in Tokyo Bay.

Starting at 6pm Tokyo time/10am UK time today, the 23rd July, chief senior reporter Liam Morgan, senior reporters Michael Pavitt, Geoff Berkeley and Dan Palmer, chief feature writer Mike Rowbottom and Olympic historian Philip Barker will be Live Blogging from the Opening Ceremony.


Bringing you all the build up to the milestone Ceremony at the National Stadium in Tokyo, you won’t miss a thing if you follow our LIVE BLOG from start to finish.
