During the International Olympic Committee’s Executive Board meeting held in Tokyo, Japan on November 30, and in the year of its 80th anniversary, Sambo has obtained provisional recognition of the International Olympic Committee, and the next step will be confirming permanent IOC recognition, allowing Sambo to be included in the programme of the Olympic Games.
