This is another important year for the International Judo Federation as it begins a new Olympic cycle towards Tokyo 2020. The highlight will undoubtedly be the IJF World Championships, due to take place in Budapest between August 28 and September 3.

Before that, there are two important IJF Grand Prix tournaments where the top competitors will have the chance to prepare for Budapest. They are at Cancun in Mexico, starting on June 16, followed by Hohhot in China, an event scheduled to begin June 30.
