Allison MelangtonMarch 20 - SportAccord has announced that Allison Melangton, the President and chief executive of the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee, will be speaking at their 10th anniversary convention in Québec City in May.


The convention takes place at the Québec City Convention Centre from May 20 until 25 and joining Melangton will be National Hockey League chief operating officer John Collins and LPGA US Open winner Jane Geddes.

NASCAR's vice-president of racing operations Steve O'Donnell, UK Sport chair Baroness Sue Campbell and William Morris Agency vice-president of talent Peter Murray will all be speaking as well.

Other confirmed speakers include United States Olympic Committee chief executive Scott Blackmun, Innsbruck 2012 chief executive Peter Bayer and Electronics Arts chief operating officer Peter Moore.

The theme of the conference will be "A decade of change, a future of promise", and sessions will focus on the social responsibility of sport and whether sports fans will be watching action on television or on other platforms in 10 years' time.

SportAccord is in Québec this year having been held in London last year, and brings together leading figures from the world of sport, including International Olympic Committee members and organising committees of major events.
