September 17 - Opus Energy, a leading supplier of electricity to the business sector, has signed up European Gymnastics silver medallist Daniel Keatings (pictured) as their sports ambassador to help him with his preparations for the London 2012 Olympics, it has been announced.



Keatings, a 19-year-old from Corby who finished second in the overall competition at this year's European Championships in Milan earlier this year and third on the pommel horse, is currently preparing for the World Championships at the O2 in London next month.

Charlie Crossley Cooke, the managing director of Opus Energy, said: "We are delighted to be sponsoring such a world class athlete in their preparation for the London 2012 Olympics.

"Opus Energy believes strongly in supporting the local community and encouraging young talented individuals to reach their full potential.

"The sponsorship for Daniel will enable him to focus on his training and preparation, for what will be the pinnacle of his career.
