BRITISH GYMNASTICS has today announced a new sponsorship deal with with Bishop Sports & Leisure Limited as the official non-competitive equipment national supplier through until the 2012 Olympics.
Alan Sommerville, the chief executive of British Gymnastics, said: “There has been a productive partnership agreement between British Gymnastics and Niels Larsen for some years through their Gym Time, Jump for Joy and Box of Tricks equipment.
"When Bishops Holdings acquired Niels Larsen in 2005 it provided the opportunity to renew and extend the partnership and I am delighted that British Gymnastics has been able to enter into a long term agreement with Bishop Sports & Leisure.”
The new agreement will continue the endorsement of the Gym time, Jump for Joy & Box of Tricks equipment and will be extended to other non-competitive gymnastics equipment including the FUNkit bag and Home Starter Pack that has been developed for the FUNdamental Movement ideas for Early Years Award Scheme.
In the lead up to the Olympic Games in 2012 British Gymnastics is hoping to attract more sponsors to support the work of the organisation, which thanks to the success of Beth Tweddle during 2006 is currently enjoying its highest ever profile.
