Donald Anthony_June_24June 25 - Donald Anthony, a former Senior World Team member, has been elected as the new President of USA Fencing. 


The USA Fencing Election Committee have confirmed that Anthony (pictured above), a veteran World silver medalist, received 751 votes in the 2012-2013 board of directors' election to claim the position of President.

Two-time Olympian Felicia Zimmermann logged 670 votes, with incumbent President Kalle Weeks garnering 310 votes.

Sam Cheris, a former President of USA Fencing, earned 1,134 votes for the office of treasurer.

Incumbent elite coaching director, Wes Glon, retained his position with 1,060 votes in a race against Andrey Geva who secured 671 votes.

Kirsten Crouse won the election for parent director with 953 votes.

Incumbent David Blake and former USA Fencing vice president Jerry Benson were elected to the at-large positions with 847 and 700 votes, respectively.

More than 20 per cent of eligible USA Fencing members voted in the election.
