bolt__gay_diamond_league_12-07-11July 12 - Usain Bolt will return to the scene of his last defeat on July 29 when he competes over 200 metres at the Samsung Diamond League meeting in Stockholm - and he is determined there will be no repeat of the result which persuaded him to end his season early last August.

"I will be back - and I will not lose," said Bolt, who has made a strong, rather than sensational, return to racing after recovering from a back injury.

Right now it is the turn of the man who beat him over 100m in the 1912 Olympic stadium, Tyson Gay, to be struggling with his fitness, as the American has recently had surgery on his hip which will rule him out of action until next year.

Bolt meanwhile has had two solid wins over 100m, both in 9.91sec, and while he ran the 200m in 19.86 in a rainswept Oslo last month, a time which leads this year's world standings, he looked less happy in Paris on Friday night (July 8) as he eased up over the final 30m to win in 20.03 - the first time he had run outside 20 seconds other than in heats since 2007.

Hanging around after problems with the timing mechanism delayed the start for 10 minutes in a cooling stadium did nothing either to help what he described afterwards as his problem with a touch of flu.

"It is a great pleasure to confirm Usain Bolt's return to the DN Galan," said Meeting Director Rajne Söderberg.

"The US sports channel Universal Sports voted last year's 100m race at the DN Galan between Usain Bolt and Tyson Gay as the top performance of the year in 2010.

"It will be interesting to see Bolt run the 200m."

Bolt holds the 200m World record of 19.19, which he set in Berlin at the 2009 IAAF World Championships, and he is the World and Olympic champion at 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay, owning the world's fastest ever times in all three events.

Bolt will also be challenging the meeting record of 19.77, set by former world record holder Michael Johnson in 1996.
