Rachel_CawthornMay 25 - Britain's canoe spritn team is heading to Duisburg for the third and final leg of the World Cup Series full of confidence after a superb display at the Czech leg of the series last weekend.

Six medals were won in total in the British team's most successful World Cup event ever, with the women's squad picking up podium finishes in every contest they entered in Racice.

In Germany, world bronze medallist Rachel Cawthorn will be looking to build on her good form in the K1 500 metres.

Jessic Walker will be in action in the K1 200m and K4 500m alongside Abigail Edmonds, Hayleigh Mason and Louisa Sawers, with whom she won bronze last weekend.

Lani Belcher and Angela Hannah will also be looking to repeat their success last weekend in the K2 500m.

Ed McKeever, who claimed gold in the Czech Republic, will be at home, so youngster Kristian Reeves and Ed Cox will be competing in the K1 200m.

Paul Wycherley will be fighting for medals in the K1 1000m, and will form part of the K4 team alongside Ben Farrell, Jon Boyton and Andrew Daniels, whilst James Train and James Styan will be racing in the C1 1000m.

Matt Sollars and Mario Santos Costa will be in the canoe double.
