swimmingApril 27 - The ASA, the National Governing Body for Swimming, is seeking a new head of marketing and communications to provide the lead for the organisation's marketing and communications activity.


The successful candidate will lead the management of all brands and brand architecture across the ASA and British Swimming.

They will also be responsible to the director of marketing and communications, and will mainly involve work on the grass roots side of the sport on topics such as the health agenda, education and membership.

While the ASA is responsible for the grassroots of the sport, British Swimming handles the high performance side of the sport including the disciplines of swimming, diving, synchronised swimming, water polo and disability swimming, but the two organisations collaborate regularly.

An ASA statement says: "The successful candidate will have excellent experience of leading the preparation and implementation of marketing communications plans.

"A strong strategic marketing ability and experience of all types of marcoms are essential.

"Also crucial is strong brand management experience (particularly where there is complicated brand architecture) together with the ability to explore innovative channels as well as using the existing swimming network."

The position will be based in Loughborough with a salary of between £49,685 (£82,334) and £53,572 ($88,775) per annum.
