The hosts' first title of the day came courtesy of Darkhan Yessengali in the under-74-kilograms category at the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace.

Yessengali got the better of Japan's Kirin Kinoshita 7-2 while Bahrain's Magomedrasul Asluev and Mongolian Suldkhuu Olonbayar claimed the bronze medals. 

He was joined as continental champion by compatriot Azamat Dauletbekov who recorded a 4-1 win against Iranian Alireza Karimimachiani in the under-86kg class.

Third place was shared by Hayato Ishiguro of Japan and Uzbekistan's Bobur Islomov who recorded commanding victories over China's Lin Zushen and Singaporean Weng Luen Gary Chow respectively.

Kazakhstan's golds meant that the country finished on a leading 480 points from the Championships which took into account the freestyle, Greco-Roman, and women's wrestling disciplines.

They ended on 480 points, with each gold worth 25, to pip nearest competitors Japan by 30.

A Kazakhstan hat-trick was denied by Japan's Arash Yoshida who cruised past Rizabek Aitmukhan 11-4 in the under-92kg final.

Magomed Sharipov of Bahrain and Mongolian Gankhuyang Ganbaatar both dominated their opponents 10-0 to clinch bronzes.

The under-125kg decider also saw Kazakhstan humbled as Mongolia's Lkhagvagerel Munkhtur scraped past Yusup Batirmurzaev.

Prior to the final, India's Kumar Anirudh crushed Sardorbek Kholmatov of Uzbekistan 12-2 while China's Buheeerdun Buheeerdun snatched bronze from Amirreza Masoumi Valadi of Iran with a 4-2 triumph.

The day's action saw the Championships conclude but more continental competition is just around the corner as the European Wrestling Championships are scheduled to take place in Zagreb, Croatia, from April 17 to 23.
