Volunteers at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games have received guidebooks in English to provide services in the language during the multi-sport event.

The manual features a total of eight chapters and 100 English conversations.

Some of the scenarios explained include Hangzhou's and the Asian Games' unique culture.

The guidebook also explains how to handle emergency medical situations, including minor injuries, heatstroke treatment, sprain treatment and patient comfort in English.

Importance was also given to tourism, with bilingual content on scenic spots in Hangzhou and Asian Games venues.

According to Asian Games V-Stations director Fu Jing, volunteer service stations will be placed at all key areas, including Asian Para Games venues.

Transportation hubs, scenic spots, cultural venues, commercial blocks and medical facilities will also have volunteer service stations.

Organisers recently hosted multiple activities to mark the 200 days until the Asian Games.

Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games was postponed by a year because due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is scheduled to be held from September 23 to October 8.

This will be the third time China has hosted the Asian Games after Beijing in 1990 and Guangzhou in 2010.
