Vitality has been confirmed as the official sponsor of the 2023 Netball World Cup, which is set to take place from July 28 to August 6, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

After 16 editions, the tournament will be featured in an African nation for the first time.

Six teams have already qualified, including hosts South Africa, Australia, England, Jamaica, Uganda, and reigning champions New Zealand.

Discovery Group, who owns Vitality, look to encourage South Africans to develop more interest in sports with this tournament, according to their chief marketing officer Firoze Bhorat.

"We’re thrilled to play a role in hosting the most prestigious event of a sport that’s so loved, both locally and around the world," said Bhorat.

"As always at Discovery, we remain focused on inspiring South Africans to get more active.

"We believe that through the sport of netball we will be able to inspire South African women and girls to live more active, healthier lives by playing the sport they love."

"It takes sponsors like Vitality to deliver a successful Netball World Cup," said Masisi.

Clare Briegal, the World Netball chief executive, also expressed her excitement to having Vitality as a partner.

"We are thrilled to have Vitality on board as the title partner for our pinnacle event once again," said Briegal.

"Vitality, part of the Discovery Group, has been an amazing partner and supporter of the growth of domestic and international netball and their programmes have created real impact at both grass roots and elite levels."

The tournament will have 16 countries participating, with New Zealand trying to defend their title after defeating Australia in the final during the 2019 edition that was held in Liverpool, England.
