The Albanian National Olympic Committee (KOKSH) has rebranded, adopting a new logo it hopes will present the organisation as a modern one.

The KOKSH has released a new institutional emblem as well as one for commercial purposes.

Both are black and red, resembling the national flag, and incorporate a two-head eagle.

"With this new brand identity, we would like to express ourselves in a modern way and adapt our communication to the Olympic values such as excellence, friendship, and respect," KOKSH President Fidel Ylli said.

"We are focused on victory, but also on building new bridges not only through the design but through the meaning of the symbolic part as well.

"We are the Albanian sport movement and we are proud of being part of the International Olympic Movement."

The badge combines shapes of a two-headed eagle, the symbol of Albania, which sits atop the Olympic rings.

The eagle represents "courage and strength", according to the KOKSH.

The old logo featured an image of a black double-headed eagle as it appears on the national flag, before a red background.

Albania sent one athlete to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and nine to the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.

Albania is still waiting for its first Olympic medal.
