The Paris 2024 Organising Committee is set to open the Games' first shop in the capital's Forum des Halles on November 14.

The 80 square metre venue in the first arrondissement is set to stock the Games' collections and merchandise such as mini Eiffel Towers, plush toys and caps.

Apparel developed by Vuarnet and the Le Coq Sportif, the official supplier and partner of the French Olympic and Paralympic teams, will also be available to purchase.

In total, the Paris 2024 Organising Committee is hoping to make €2 billion (£1.7 billion/$2 billion) from all of its retail outlets.

"We commissioned a survey in which 60 per cent of French people say they are interested in the Olympic Games," said Edouard Bardon, Paris 2024 licensing and retail director, as reported by Fashion Network.

"And 20 per cent of the population intends to buy at least one official product.

"This means that there are about 10 million people, willing to spend €50 (£43/$51) of budget on average.

"This already represents €500 million (£437 million/$514 million) in consumer spending.

"We want to multiply this volume by four."

Textiles, stationery and household items will also be available on an International Olympic Committee platform run by Fanatics.

The Organising Committee are accounting for a fifth of total product sales to come from the Games' mascot following the popularity of the Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022 mascots.
