Britain's Alex Yee is looking to take advantage of a missing Hayden Wilde at the next World Triathlon Championship Series leg in Bermuda, as he aims for top spot in the standings, heading into the Finals in the United Arab Emirates.

With three golds to the New Zealander's two, Yee has stood atop the podium the most amount of times, but Wilde has finished second twice to his rival.

Yee has not claimed a silver or bronze medal so far this season.

Norwegian Olympic champion Kristian Blummenfelt is in the line-up and will act as one of the main threats in the men's race, as will compatriot Gustav Iden - with both following in team-mate Casper Stornes in a Norwegian one-two-three in Bermuda in 2018.

Neither have made the podium this season - nor has Belgian Jelle Geens who is looking to win a medal for the first time in Bermuda.

Championship Series veteran Vincent Luis from France is in the field, as is Moroccan Jawad Abdelmoula, who won bronze in Hamburg - his first medal on the Series.

Spain's Mario Mola and Portuguese triathlete Vasco Vilaca are also on the start list.

On home soil, Flora Duffy will look to overtake Britain's Georgia Taylor-Brown in the women's rankings before the finale in Abu Dhabi later this month.

Duffy sits second overall behind her absent rival - but instead will face another British rival out on the course.

Beth Potter is expected to present a tough challenge as she aims for her first win of the season after a silver and bronze so far.

Duffy led Potter home in Hamburg - and Taylor-Brown will be hoping her lead is not eaten into too much from the fan favourite.

A strong performance from Potter could move her into the top three too, with France's Cassandre Beaugrand, the winner in Leeds, also absent.

American Taylor Spivey and Germany's Laura Lindemann are in top form too with consistent performances this year.
