The Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) has met virtually with the Organising Committee of the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games and Asian Para Games, claiming "great progress" has been made since their last discussions.

Over two days, the APC heard updates in areas such as marketing, broadcast, transport, ceremonies, and sport.

There was a general brief on what preparations were still to be made in the build-up to the Para Games.

APC chief executive Tarek Souei was impressed by the work so far.

"We have heard about the great progress made since our last meeting and have seen how the Organising Committee has used the additional time wisely to further refine their plans," said Souei.

"The Organising Committee are working hard to deliver fantastic Games that will make the people of China proud and will create a legacy for disabled people in this country.

"I am also sure that the Games will have a positive impact right across our region and will help to grow the Paralympic Movement in Asia."
