In the men’s event, Vodisek earned two second places today to maintain his advantage at the top at the standings with a net six points.

Axel Mazella of France sits in second place overall, also with a net six points, after second and fifth place finishes today, although his latter score will be discarded.

In third overall is Moscow-born Denis Taradin, with first and third place finishes seeing him sit in third place with a net 12 points.

On the final day of qualifying races in the men’s fleet, there were six winners from six races across the three groups.

One of the unluckiest racers of the day was Austria’s Valentin Bontus, who crashed after striking a partially submerged water bottle anchored to the sea floor.

On a breezy day in Sardinia Moroz continued her domination of the women’s event, winning the day’s only race, to move on to a net total of four points.

In second place is Lauriane Nolot of France, who earned a second place today, which will be discarded, moving on to a net four points.

In third place overall is Leonie Meyer of Germany, who finished third today, to move on to a net 15 points in total.

Racing is scheduled to continue tomorrow with racers split into gold, silver and bronze fleets, based on their performances over the opening few days.
