Tokyo 2020 gold medallist Jolanda Neff was unstoppable as she triumphed in two disciplines.

She won the women's cross-country Olympic race in just 1min 26.53sec to pip under-23 world champion Mona Mitterwallner to the title.

The Austrian finished at the same time as American Haley Batten with 1:27:49 but a photo finish ruled her to be fractionally ahead.

Neff then conquered the short track cross-country by a whisker as there was just two seconds between first and third.

The Swiss athlete registered a 22.51 second time which again needed a photo finish to differentiate between her and the United States Gwendalyn Gibson.

Neff's compatriot picked up the bronze medal in 22.53.

Double world champion Filippo Colombo came out on top in the men's short track cross-country event after a remarkable race which saw first and ninth place separated by just four seconds.

Mexican Jose Ulloa Arevalo and Sebastian Fini Carstensen of Denmark followed Colombo a second later to claim silver and bronze, respectively.

Colombo was denied a second gold as he was relegated to runner-up in the men's Olympic cross-country by Frenchman Titouan Carod.

Carod won at a canter in 1:24.48 from Colombo and Spain's David Valero Serrano in 1:26.29 and 1:26.32 respectively.

Former junior world champion Finnley Iles took gold in front of the home crowd in the men's downhill.

Fractional differences were on show once again as the Canadian clocked in after 4:11.717, 0.238 ahead of Britain's Laurie Greenland.

Australia's Troy Brosnan was 3.504 off the pace in third.

Valentina Höll of Austria registered a time of 4:56.012 to beat Germany's Nina Hoffmann and Italian Eleanora Farina by 3.147 and 4.510, respectively.
