Top seed Rossi was in sensational form in the Northern Mariana Islands as he captured the men’s singles crown with a 21-4, 21-14 victory over Yohan De Geoffroy of New Caledonia.

There was more success for Rossi in the men’s doubles as he teamed up with Léo Cucuel to beat compatriots Glen Le Foll and Kyliam Scilloux 21-18, 21-8 in the final.

The mixed doubles title went to Rossi and Mélissa Mi You who downed De Geoffroy and  Marine Souviat of New Caledonia 21-10, 21-9.

Rossi was also part of French Polynesia's mixed team triumph after finishing top of the standings with five wins from five matches.

Jenica Lesourd of French Polynesia claimed the women’s singles title with a 21-16, 21-19 success against Souviat of New Caledonia.

She then joined forces with Mi You as they upset top seeds Johanna Kou and Souviat of New Caledonia 21-6, 21-17 in the women’s doubles final.

The athletics competition also came to a close in Saipan with half marathon titles for Benjamin Zorgnotti of French Polynesia and Manami Iijima of Guam.

Zorgnotti topped a French Polynesian one-two in the men’s race as he crossed the finish line in a winning time of 1min 15.6sec.

Damien Troquenet came second in 1:15.15 with Siune Kagl of Papua New Guinea earning bronze in 1:15.58.

Iijima won the women’s event in 1:27.48, finishing ahead of two runners from the Solomon Islands.

Sharon Firisua sealed silver in 1:28.33, with compatriot Dianah Matekali bagging bronze in 1:32.12.

Papua New Guinea topped the medal table with 33 golds, 28 silvers and 19 bronzes.

French Polynesia also had an impressive Games, winning 22 golds, 15 silvers and 21 bronzes.

There was also plenty of home joy with the Northern Mariana Islands picking up 16 gold, 13 silver and nine bronze medals.

The Games were last held in Vanuatu's capital Port Vila in 2017 and were due to take place last year only to be postponed to this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the destruction caused by Super Typhoon Yutu.
