Australia’s Rebecca McConnell will seek her third International Cycling Union (UCI) Mountain Bike World Cup of the season at Nové Město na Moravě.

The Czech venue will host the third cross-country World Cup event, following legs at Petrópolis in Brazil and Albstadt in Germany.

McConnell topped the women’s podium on both occasions, with the Oceanian champion taking a strong lead in the overall season standings.

Switzerland’s reigning Olympic champion Jolanda Neff is also included on the start list for the women’s event.

Neff has won the overall World Cup title on three occasions in her career.

Britain’s Tom Pidcock will renew his battle with Switzerland’s Nino Schurter, the man he succeeded as Olympic champion at Tokyo 2020.

Schurter triumphed at the opening World Cup of the season, an event Pidcock was absent from.

The Briton returned to the circuit with victory in Albstadt, with Schurter left settling for second place on this occasion.

The men’s and women’s elite races are due to be held on Sunday (May 15).

Competition will begin tomorrow with men’s and women’s short track races set to be held.

Under-23 races are set to be contested on Saturday (May 14).
