Fellow Britain Beth Potter is also in action at the picturesque Marina Bay venue and honing in on the women's crown, with French rival Cassandre Beaugrand not competing. 

The Singapore Grand Final is the last of three events in the Arena Games Triathlon series, following contests in Munich - won by Potter and France's Aurelien Raphael - and London last month. 

Beaugrand and the German Justus Nieschlag tasted victory in London.

Potter leads the women's standings while Beaugrand appears in second, followed by Lena Meißner of Germany. 

In the men's event, fans will see New Zealand's Hayden Wilde in attendance. 

Wilde managed to secure a bronze medal at Tokyo 2020 Olympics in the individual race.

After skipping London, Belgian Marten Van Riel is returning to the competition. 

Nieschlag, Max Stapley of Australia and Olympic team champion and solo runner-up Yee are also performing in Singapore. 

Yee, Wilde, Raphael, Nieschlag and Van Riel all reached the finals straight from today's heats.

Sian Rainsley was fastest in the women's heats as Britons dominated, with Potter safely through.

The Arena Games Triathlon Grand Final, powered by Zwift, features real-life and virtual racing.

Triathletes begin with a swim leg in Marina Reservoir 1 before completing their cycling and running legs on smart trainers and self-powered curved treadmills located on the promenade of Marina Bay. 

The series, run by Super League Triathlon, is aimed at providing an immersive viewing experience which allows spectators to enjoy live data and stay close to the athletes.

This year it will also see world champions crowned in esports triathlon.
