Olympic medallists Yuto Horigome, Rayssa Leal and Jagger Eaton have claimed the last golds of the X Games on the final day of competition at the Marine Stadium in Chiba in Japan.

Horigome, who won the men’s street skateboarding event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, initially topped the elimination round of the men’s street discipline and continued his fluidity into the final.

On this stage the Japanese skater did not put a foot wrong to triumphantly fend off his compatriots Daiki Ikeda and Sora Shirai to achieve his second career X Games title.

Eaton, representing the United States, failed to build upon his Tokyo 2020 street bronze medal by finishing fifth.

However, he made an impact in the men’s park event where he replicated his chart-topping elimination performance by achieving gold in the final.

The American showed off his free-flowing skills to claim gold in front of Australian Olympian Kieran Woolley and compatriot Liam Pace.

While Woolley took a top three position in qualifying, Pace jumped from seventh to claim a podium place.

Leal, the winner of the Tokyo 2020 street skateboarding silver medal, succeeded in the same discipline to round off the competition.

She improved upon her third-place elimination round performance to edge the hosts’ Funa Nakayama and Australia’s Chloe Covell.

Nakayama, the street skateboarding bronze medallist at the Olympics, held her position in second as Covell rose from fifth to third.

Japan’s Yumeka Oda dropped from first in the elimination round to fourth in the final.
