The Spanish Paralympic Committee (CPE) has announced pet food manufacturer Dingonatura as the new sponsor of the CPE team and the naming rights holder of the canoeing Paralympic Promises team for the cycle leading up to Paris 2024.

Dingonatura, which describes itself as a key provider of natural nutrition for pets to enhance their health and well-being, will be a member of the set of brands that form the Paralympic Objective Sport Support (ADOP) Plan.

ADOP is designed to ensure Spanish athletes have the best chance of participating and attaining success at the Paralympics.

The Promise team, an initiative for athletes without high-level experience, comes under the remit of the ADOP Plan.

"This participation in the ADOP Plan is also complemented by the capitalisation of one of the promise projects that the CPE has launched in recent years, with the intention of strengthening grassroots sport and ensuring a generational changeover to the great figures of the present," the statement from CPE read.

"The Committee, in this case together with the Royal Spanish Federation of Canoeing (RFEP), develop an initiative by which Dingonatura will promote the young talents of a discipline that is becoming more and more popular and that already in the Tokyo Games contributed five representatives and a couple of Paralympic diplomas".

The CPE added that its new partner is "associated with a series of values intrinsic to Paralympic sport" and it will "give maximum visibility to the sport of people with disabilities".
