New Zealand’s Aaron Gate and Australia’s Georgie Howe have won the road time trial titles at the Oceania Road Championships in Brisbane.

Gate, who won five golds in the track events, produced another title-winning time of 40 minutes 41.03 seconds in the elite men's event.

Compatriot Thomas Sexton claimed silver for being 1:32.12 slower while Australia’s Michael Freiberg secured bronze for being 1:41.30 behind.

Meanwhile, Howe topped the women’s elite which saw an Australia sweep with Amber Pate and Anna Davis coming second and third.

Howe set the tempo at 32:49.67 and Pate and Davis followed with 1:16.63 and 1:59.77, respectively.

In the under-23 action, Logan Currie of New Zealand and the hosts’ Anya Louw won the titles.

Currie completed the under-23 men’s event in 42:59.03, which was 47.79sec and 52.55sec faster than Australia’s Dylan George and New Zealand’s Keegan Hornblow in second and third.

Louw edged the women’s category after her time of 34:40.33 was just 14.91sec quicker than Kim Cadzow of New Zealand who finished in second.

Securing bronze was Australia’s Alyssa Polites for a time of 35:22.96.

For the under-19 events, Australia cleaned up both podiums with William Eaves, Tyle Tomkison and Oscar Chamberlain taking gold, silver and bronze in the men’s and Isabbelle Carnes, Sophie Marr and Bronte Stewart winning gold, silver and bronze in the women’s category.

The host nation also completely swept away their Oceanic rivals in the Para events with Nicole Murray being the sole Kiwi winner with her women's C5 title.

Kaitlyn Schurmann, Amanda Reid, Paige Greco and Emily Petricola won the women C1, C2, C3 and C4 classes as Lauren Parker and Carol Cooke succeeded in the women H3 and T2.

Candice Kennedy triumphed in the women's tandem.

Darren Hicks, Kyle Willis, Luke Taylor and Alistair Donohoe took gold in the men's C2, C3, C4 and C5 classes while Rhys Tappenden, Alex Welsh, Grant Allen and Stuart Tripp secured the titles in the men's H2, H3, H4 and H5 classes.

Stuart Jones topped the men’s T2 class and Kevin O’Meley ended the race first in the men's tandem.
