Russian capital Moscow is set to host a rhythmic International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Grand Prix, with athletes from more than 20 countries due to be participating and the Averina twins set to star.

Dina Averina is the world champion in four disciplines - hoop, ball, clubs and all-around - and won the ribbon silver medal in Kitakyushu last year.

Arina Averina won clubs and ball silver, plus all-around and ribbon bronze, and is additionally the European al-around champion.

With Olympic all-around champion Linoy Ashram from Israel not competing, the stage should be clear for the identical twins to dominate.

The Grand Prix, which has taken place since 1994, will feature individual and group competition.

Qualification is due to be held over the next two days.

Sunday (February 20), the final day, will be dedicated to the finals of each apparatus event.

The Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Palace in the Luzhniki Olympic Complex, completed in 2019, is the venue.

Next on the Grand Prix calendar is the Miss Valentine event in Tartu in Estonia, which is set to take place on the final weekend of February.

Two more Grands Prix will be held in March, with Ukrainian capital Kyiv and Marbella in Spain set to host.
