Austrian Marita Kramer returned to winning ways as she claimed her second victory of the women's Ski Jumping World Cup season in Lillehammer.

Kramer topped the standings in the large hill competition on a total of 268.9 points following jumps of 138 metres and 134.5m at the 1994 Winter Olympic Games venue.

The world team gold medallist, who won four events in a row at the end of the 2020-2021 season , finished 9.1 points clear of Katharina Althaus to deny the German a second straight victory following her success yesterday.

Althaus jumped 130.5m and 135.6m for a score of 259.8 points.

Third place went to Norway's Silje Opseth, who earned 253.2 points following efforts of 134.5m and 129m.

Victory for Kramer saw her go one better than yesterday's event at the same venue, where she ended the competition second behind Althaus.

The 20-year-old is now the overall women's World Cup leader on 330 points, 45 ahead of Althaus in second.

Ema Klinec of Slovenia, fourth in today's event, is third on the leaderboard on 259 points.

The campaign continues in Klingenthal in Germany, which is scheduled to stage the next World Cup on the calendar from Thursday (December 9) to Sunday (December 12).
