Britain's Lucy Renshall made it a third victory on the International Judo Federation (IJF) World Tour this year at the season ender, the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam at the Jiu-Jitsu Arena Abu Dhabi.

The 2018 European bronze medallist has been strong throughout the 2021 World Tour in the women's under-63 kilogram category, having won two golds at the Baku and Antalya Grand Slams, as well as silver in Paris.

She claimed her third win of the season today in the final against The Netherlands' world and European bronze medallist Sanne Vermeer.

Joining them on the podium were Ketleyn Quadros of Brazil and Andreja Leski of Slovenia, having defeated Australian Katharina Haecker and Czech Republic's Renata Zachova respectively.

World champion and Olympic bronze medallist Matthias Casse of Belgium also secured the win in the men's under-81kg, beating Russian Alan Khubetsov with a waza-ari to claim the gold.

Khubetsov's compatriot Aslan Lappinagov defeated Uzbekistan's Arslonbek Tojiev for the bronze, with the other bronze going to Britain's Lachlan Moorhead, who defeated German Tim Gramkov.

Mongolian Tsogtbaatar Tsend-Ochir took the men's under-73kg title with a waza-ari win against Uzbekistan's Khikmatillokh Turaev in the final.

Russian Armen Agaian defeated Somon Makhmadbekov of Tajikistan for bronze, and Georgian world champion Lasha Shavdatuashvili won against Slovenian Martin Hojak for the other. 

Finally, Germany's Giovanna Scoccimarro was victorious in the women's under-70kg winning in golden score against Japan's Shiho Tanaka in the final.

Kelly Pollard Petersen of Britain won in golden score over Mongolia's Enkhchimeg Tserendulam for bronze, while Marie Eve Gahie of France eased to victory in the other bout for third against Taisia Kireeva of Russia.
