More than 100 organisations are set to join forces at this year's United Through Sports (UTS) World Virtual Youth Festival.

Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh is organising the event, scheduled to run from tomorrow until November 27.

The aim of the seven-day event is to increase youth participation in sport while reducing inactivity, as well as encouraging positive life skills and values.

Organisers are hoping to attract more than 30,000 participants ranging from as young as five to 18 years old.

They will compete in five events - max fit, aero fit, talent, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) inclusive challenge and Special Olympics unified fitness challenge.

There will also be a five-day education programme with four interactive workshops and six panel sessions with world-renowned speakers.

The event will be staged under the theme of "United 4 the Future" and take place in cooperation with the United Nations' World Children’s Day.

Broadcast by the Olympic Channel, the World Virtual Youth Festival will start tomorrow with a workshop entitled "The Inclusion Revolution and Global Values".

Seven-year-old Pride of Britain winner Harmonie-Rose Allen, who is a quadruple amputee, will deliver a welcome speech along with Ghazi Anas Khan of Special Olympics.

Swimmer Ellie Cole, who is Australia’s most decorated female Paralympian, will be among the speakers during the opening workshop.

Jon-Paul St. Germain, Special Olympics' senior director for sport partnership, and Ben Haack, director at Special Olympics Australia, are also set to participate along with Craig Spence, chief brand and communications officer for the IPC and Lama Alfozan, Board member for the Saudi Arabian Fencing Federation.

The first day of the festival will feature another workshop, called "UTS Ambassadors Cultivate Community" featuring Leonz Eder, Acting President of the International University Sports Federation.

Further workshops are planned for Sunday (November 21) before the official launch of the Festival and "United 4 the Future" conference are held on Monday (November 22).

International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach, IPC President Andrew Parsons, Special Olympics chief executive Mary Davis and UTS President Stephan Fox are also due to deliver speeches during the World Virtual Youth Festival.
