The North Macedonian team lost to Romania in yesterday’s semi-finals, but had the opportunity of a rematch by playing Ukraine in the repechage.

Their five-member team of Aleksandar Ќulukoski, Jane Apostoloski, Damjan Stoilkovski, Kristijan Popovski and Pavle Stojanovski secured a 2-1 victory to reach the final of the multiplayer first-person shooter event.

Known as "CacaNito", "aidKiT", "kyxsan", "stYleEeZ" and "FODOR", the North Macedonia team faced Romanian opposition, who had vocal support in the venue, in the final.

The best-of-three final began with teams competing on the Inferno map.

North Macedonia triumphed by 16 rounds of 10 to take a 1-0 lead in the final.

Victory was sealed on the Mirage map, where North Macedonia outscored their rivals 16-11 to secure a 2-0 win overall.

It is North Macedonia’s second victory in recent months against Romania, after beating their opponents in the European Nations Cup event held in September.

Ukraine finished third for CS:GO, a game developed by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment.

The eFootball PES competition concluded in dramatic fashion with both finalists having opportunities to be crowned champion.

Playing as German outfit Bayern Munich, Georgia’s Rati Nanava had twice led the final, winning the opening game 3-0 and the third match 3-2.

Nanava was pegged back by his Mexican opponent "The Arsenal Way", who stuck with his selection of the English Premier League side.

He triumphed 3-1 in the second match, before coming back from 2-1 down in the fourth contest to win 4-2 in extra time.

A turnaround appeared on the cards when he earned a 1-0 lead in the deciding game, only to concede an equaliser from a long throw with the game clock standing at 86 minutes.

Penalties were required after the extra time period was unable to separate the two players.

The Arsenal Way crumbled in the penalty shootout, missing all three attempts, with Navana converting three of four efforts to emerge as the tournament winner.

Navana and The Arsenal Way had earlier seen off competition from Italian and Spanish opponents in the semi-finals.

Raffaele Pagliuca had been beaten 3-1 by Navana, with the Italian having suggested technical issues had impacted him in the semi-finals.

Pagliuca also missed out on a podium finish, after falling to a 3-0 defeat in the best of five-game bronze medal contest to Spain.

A packed day of competition concluded with the finale of the Tekken 7 event, with South Korea’s Jokre triumphing in the final.

The popular fighting video and arcade game, developed by Japanese company Bandai Namco Studios, featured at the World Championships for the eighth time.

Jokre had a mixed record during the group stage with a pair of victories alongside two defeats.

His knock-out stage proved faultless with triumphs over Sweden and the Philippines taking him into the semi-finals.

A 4-2 win over Venezuela saw him set up a contest against Italy’s Carlo Vinci, who had beaten Belgium’s Richard "PiKaH" Donders by the same score in their last four contest.

Jokre proved too strong in his contest with Vinci, with the South Korean triumphing 5-2 in the final to lift the World Championship Finals trophy.

The bronze medal was claimed by PiKaH, with the Belgian player winning 4-1 in the bronze match against his opponent from Venezuela.

The World Championship Finals will conclude tomorrow with the completion of the Dota 2 event.

The Czech Republic secured automatic passage to the final by beating Kosovo 2-1.

Kosovo dropped into the repechage round where they fell to a 2-0 loss to Sweden, who claimed the last spot in the final.

A Closing Ceremony will take place tomorrow, as well as the unveiling of the 2022 IESF World Championship Finals host.
