The hosts recorded a 25-19, 25-23, 25-15 win over Belarus today, backing up a similar success against Switzerland two days ago.

Switzerland responded to their opening-day loss by overcoming Hungary in the pool’s evening match.

The Swiss team battled to a 22-25, 25-23, 29-27, 23-25, 15-11 win.

Ukraine recorded their first win of the competition in Pool D, after suffering consecutive losses.

Ukraine secured a 25-19, 25-23, 26-28, 25-22 win over Finland, who have now suffered three straight defeats.

Sweden earned their second win by beating Romania 25-21, 25-17, 25-16.

Pool D leaders The Netherlands and Turkey have a rest day, with both nations having won their opening two matches.
