Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay have all qualified for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, completing the tournament line-up.

Paraguay claimed the final place at the event - due to take place in Moscow from August 19 to 29 - by defeating Colombia 4-2 in the third-place playoff of the South American qualification tournament.

Brazil won the event, winning all six of their matches including the final.

Brazil beat Uruguay 3-1 in the final.

This year's Beach Soccer World Cup will be held on the Festival Square of the Luzhniki Sports Complex in Russia's capital.

The draw for the group stage of the tournament will take place on Thursday (July 8) in Zurich.

A "neutral" host team, Belarus, Spain, Mozambique, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Portugal, El Salvador, Senegal, the United States, Tahiti, Ukraine and Japan complete the line-up.

It is the first time the biennial tournament will be held in Russia.

The Russian team won this event in 2011 and 2013 and finished third at the last edition held in 2019 when Portugal became world champions.

The Russian name, flag and anthem will be banned due to the two years of sanctions imposed on the country by the World Anti-Doping Agency and Court of Arbitration for Sport, although the event has remained in Russia despite International Federations being told to strip the nation of hosting rights "unless it is legally or practically impossible to do so".
