Co-hosts France and Serbia will meet in the final of the International Basketball Federation Women's EuroBasket tournament.

France had been playing their matches in Strasbourg until this point, but today faced Belarus in Valencia, Spain, running out 73-61 winners.

The victory sees France reach their fifth consecutive FIBA Women's EuroBasket final, although they will be hoping to go one better than the previous edition in 2019, when they lost 86-66 to Spain in the final.

France won all four quarters during a convincing display, which included outscoring their opponents by six goals in quarter two.

The other semi-final was a much tighter affair, with Serbia overcoming Belgium 74-73.

Serbia led 23-17 after the first quarter, with Belgium taking quarter two 19-9 to retake the lead.

Serbia outscored their opponents 22-19 in the third quarter and crucially 20-18 in the fourth to win by a point.

Earlier in the day, two classification matches, which also decided the final two places in the 2022 Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament, took place.

Bosnia and Herzegovina comfortably defeated Sweden 82-63 thanks to an impressive performance from Jonquel Jones.

Jones scored 34 points and 19 rebounds, plus four assists which gave her a performance efficiency of 51.

The final place in the Women’s World Cup qualifiers went to Russia, who upset co-hosts Spain 78-74, meaning the Spanish will miss out on a global tournament for the first time since the London 2012 Olympics.

Russia came from behind to win the match, helped by 20 points from Raisa Musina and 14 points and 10 boards from Maria Vadeeva.
