Jahangir Riaz, President of Green Hill, a supplier of equipment to several martial arts, particularly judo, has died at the age of 56 due to COVID-19.

Green Hill had been the official provider of judogi to the International Judo Federation (IJF) for the last 11 years.

It also works with the European Judo Union (EJU), International Boxing Association and the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation.

Green Hill had been founded by Riaz’s grandfather in 1964 in Pakistan but it was Jahangir who had built the company into the well-known brand that it is today.

"He was a gentleman who put his talent at the service of sport," the IJF said in a statement on its website.
