Rohan finished 0.24sec ahead of Britain's three-time Olympic silver medallist David Florence in a time of 97.20 to win - making it a second Czech victory in two days following Jiří Prskavec's win in the men's kayak yesterday.

Rohan and Florence were a distance ahead of the rest of the field, but it was Slovenian Benjamin Savsek who claimed bronze just 0.16sec ahead of Slovakian Marko Mirgorodsky, with a bronze-medal time of 99.80.

Slovakia's Matej Benus and Poland's Kacper Sztuba completed the top six.
