Reigning champions and hosts Senegal earned a place in tomorrow’s final of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations with a tense 3-2 win over Morocco.

After the first period of their match at the Saly Beach Soccer Stadium the teams were level at 1-1, and the score was 2-2 going into the final period, before the home team came up with the winner.

Their next opponents will be Mozambique, who reached their first final after an impressive 6-3 win over Uganda in the second semi-final.

By reaching the final, both teams have qualified to represent Africa at the 2021 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in Moscow, Russia, from August 19 to 29.

Earlier in the day Egypt, third in the last two editions of this tournament but kept out of the last four by a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Morocco on Wednesday (May 26), earned fifth place with a 4-2 win over Tanzania.
