After winning three of the first five golds on offer yesterday at Torwar Hall, Russia managed an identical haul on the second day of medal matches, held across men’s freestyle categories.

In the under-61 kilogram category, Russia’s first gold went to Abasgadzhi Magomedov who beat Ukraine’s Andrii Dzhelep 12-2.

Bronzes went to Eduard Grigorev of Poland who beat Georgi Vangelov of Bulgaria 4-2 and Beka Lomtadze of Georgia who overcame Akhmednabi Gvarzatilov of Azerbaijan 9-7.

In the under-74kg category, gold went to Tajmuraz Salkazanov of Slovakia who beat Miroslav Kirov of Bulgaria 10-0.

Bronzes went to Frank Chamizo of Italy who defeated Razambek Zhamalov of Russia 5-1 and Mitchell Finesilver of Israel who overcame Valentin Borzin of Moldova 4-0.

In the under-86kg category, Russia’s second gold of the day went to Artur Naifonov who beat Sandro Aminashvili of Georgia 8-0.

Bronze medals went to Myles Nazem Amine of San Marino who beat Boris Makoev of Slovakia 6-4 and Ali Shabanau of Belarus who beat Sebastian Jezierzanski of Poland 4-2.

Russia’s third gold of the day came in the under-92kg category which went to Magomed Kurbanov who beat Samuel Scherrer of Switzerland 4-1.

Bronzes went to Osman Nurmagomedov of Azerbaijan who beat Andri Vlasov of Ukraine 5-0 and Hajy Rajabau of Belarus who overcame Ivars Samusonoks of Latvia 8-0.

In the men’s under-125kg category, gold went to Olympic champion Taha Akgul of Turkey who beat Sergei Kozyrev of Russia by disqualification 9-2.

Bronze medals went to Geno Petriashvili of Georgia who beat Dzianis Khramiankou of Belarus 12-9 and Oleksandr Khotsianivskyi of Ukraine who overcame Daniel Ligeti of the Netherlands 5-2.
