The International Sambo Federation (FIAS) has expanded its online training tips programmes with more practical exercises available in three languages.

In January, the FIAS in collaboration with ComplexCore prepared an online educational training session which was attended by more than 250 sambo coaches and athletes worldwide.

Due to the success of this, FIAS decided to extend the collaboration, preparing more specific three hour long online training tips.

An English and Russian webinar is set to be held on April 27 at 7am GMT, followed by an English and French webinar at noon GMT the same day.

On April 30, an English and Spanish webinar is set to be held at 3pm GMT.

These webinars will also focus on injury prevention and improving performance in the sport.

ComplexCore combines sports medicine, sports science, physiotherapy and training with more than 15 years of experience in high performance in many sports such as football, Formula One, judo, athletics, gymnastics and sailing.

"FIAS sees this collaboration as opportunity for all its members to enhance their knowledge and prepare a safe environment on the field of play by reducing the risk of athlete injury," read a FIAS statement.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many sports have had to adapt by moving seminars and competitions online.

FIAS held their World Sambo Championships in November 2020 as part of its return to competition following a hiatus caused by the pandemic.
