All the top seeds in action in the singles competitions progressed in straight games on the second day of the Dubai Para Badminton International at the Shabab Al Ahli Club.

Top seeds entered in the second round and in the men’s singles, in the SL3 category, Pramod Bhagat of India progressed by beating France’s Mathieu Thomas 21-11, 21-12 in Group A.

In the WH2 category, top seed Germany’s Rick Cornell Hellmann was a 21-5, 21-6 winner in Group A against India’s Girishkumar Jayanthilal Sharma.

Top seed in the SL4 category, Lucas Mazur of France was an emphatic 21-3, 21-1 winner against Jareth Van Der Weijden of the Netherlands in Group A.

In the WH1 category another Frenchman is the top seed, and David Toupe ran out a 21-3, 21-7 victor against Mohammed Abdullah Al Attas in Group A.

Top seed in the SU5 category Dheva Anrimushti of Indonesia beat Chirag Baretha of India 21-15, 21-14 in Group A.

In the women’s singles events top seed in the SL3 category, Parul Parmar of India was a comfortable 21-15, 21-1 winner against Viktoriia Arapina in Group A.

In the WH1 category, top seed Karin Suter-Erath of Switzerland ran out a 21-15, 21-18 winner against Henriett Koosz of Austria in Group A.

Top seed Meg Hollander of The Netherlands was a 21-15, 21-11 victor against Jyoti Jangra of India in Group A.

In the combined men’s and women’s singles SH6 category top seed Nagar Krishna of India ran out a convincing winner 21-7, 21-1 winner in Group A against Jeremia Ngungi Maringa of Kenya.

Competition in Dubai is scheduled to run until Sunday (April 4).
