Ashram had finished level with Bulgaria’s Boryana Kaleyn at the top of the qualification standings yesterday.

The duo were in a closely fought contest to win the all-around competition today in Bulgaria’s capital city.

Ashram outscored her rival in the hoop and clubs disciplines, where she scored 25.800 and 25.750 points respectively.

Kaleyn scored 25.100 in the hoops event, before finishing with 25.450 in the clubs discipline.

The Bulgarian star produced a superb performance in the ball event to score 26.250, with Ashram achieving 25.550.

The ribbon event saw the smallest gap between the pair with Kaleyn scoring 21.450 to Ashram’s 21.350.

Ashram would finish with the highest total overall with her tally of 98.450 enough to win gold, leaving Kaleyn second on 98.250.

Belarus’ Alina Harnasko completed the podium places by finishing with a score of 96.150.

Bulgaria won the all-around group competition with a score of 84.350.

The host nation scored 44.150 in the five ball event, before achieving 40.200 points in the three hoop and two clubs discipline.

Azerbaijan finished as the runners-up on 70.950, with Japan third on 70.650.

The World Cup event is due to conclude tomorrow with individual finals and the team hoops and clubs competitions.
