World number one Dustin Johnson will look to win a second World Golf Championship (WGC) Dell Technologies Match Play title when group play begins tomorrow at Austin Country Club in Texas.

The American, who triumphed in the event in 2017, features in Group One alongside compatriot Kevin Na, Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre and another American in Adam Long.

There are 16 groups of four with each player competing once against the other players in their group, before the group winners advance to the next stage, the round of 16.

Group Two features defending champion Kevin Kisner, alongside fellow Americans Justin Thomas, a recent winner of The Players Championship, dubbed the unofficial "fifth major" and Matt Kuchar, with South African Louis Oosthuizen completing the line-up.

Group Three is headed by third seed Jon Rahm of Spain, alongside American Ryan Palmer, Ireland’s Shane Lowry, the defending Open champion, and Colombian Sebastian Munoz.

Group Four is an all American line-up of Collin Morikawa, winner of the last WGC event, the Workday Championship, Billy Horschel, Max Homa and JT Poston.

Group Five is led by American Bryson DeChambeau, alongside England’s Tommy Fleetwood, Si Woo-Kim of South Korea and France’s Antoine Rozner.

Two Americans Xander Schauffele and Scottie Scheffler are in Group Six, alongside Australia’s Jason Day and England’s Andy Sullivan.

Americans Patrick Reed and Bubba Watson feature in Group Seven, with Joaquin Niemann of Chile and Christiaan Bezuidenhout of South Africa joining them.

Three Englishmen feature in Group Eight - Lee Westwood, Tyrrell Hatton and Matt Wallace, alongside Spain’s Sergio Garcia.

Group Nine consists of Americans Webb Simpson and Talor Gooch, alongside England’s Paul Casey and Canadian Mackenzie Hughes.

Group 10 features two Americans in Patrick Cantlay and Brian Harman, alongside Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama and Carlos Ortiz of Mexico.

Group 11 is headed by Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland, a winner in 2015 the first time the event used this format.

He will be alongside Australian Cameron Smith, England’s Ian Poulter and Lanto Griffin of the United States this time around.

In Group 12 three Americans - Tony Finau, Jason Kokrak and Will Zalatoris feature, with South Africa’s Dylan Frittelli completing the line-up.

Group 13 features Norway’s Viktor Hovland, Mexico’s Abraham Ancer, Austrian Bernd Weisberger and American Kevin Streelman, while Group 14 comprises three Americans in Brendan Todd, Harris English and Daniel Berger alongside Erik Van Rooyen of South Africa.

Group 15 features England’s Matt Fitzpatrick, two Americans in Matthew Wolff and Jordan Spieth and Canadian Corey Conners, with Group 16 comprising of Sungjae Im of South Korea, France’s Victor Perez, Australian Marc Leishman and America’s Russell Henley.

Group play is scheduled to take place over three days through to Friday (March 26), with the champion set to be crowned on Sunday (March 28).
